Back to Basics-Part 1
Oh, my goodness! I cannot believe how long it has been since I posted, but this has been quite a year. Not much has gone according to plan, but I’m still hanging in there and spending a little time in the sewing room. With less time to sew, my priorities have shifted, and I am trying to finish projects and use my stash.
I have a LOT of fabric. Pretty fabric makes my mind spin with possibilities, and it almost always ends up coming home with me. Once in my sewing room, the brilliant plan is forgotten, and it ends up in one of the stash cupboards. The time has come to use this fabric or get rid of it. Many of you are long-time quilters in the same situation. I hope you come along with me as I figure out ways to use fabric, make quilts, and have fun.
Up First in the UFO Pile
A few years ago, I was in a curved piecing phase—who am I kidding? I am STILL in a curved piecing phase. Anyway, I found a couple of projects that use the Rainbow Curves Quilt Template. I love the way these blocks come together, and you can make a block with just two seams. They are so fast and easy. I will spend a little time stitching these bright, happy blocks today. That’s sure to keep me in a good mood!
What are you stitching today?
Carrie says
Missed you!
Patricia Pollock says
Happy to hear from you again. I’ve gotten back into counted cross stitching. Today, while a new furnace is installed, I’ll be working on a Halloween pumpkin house.
