I am still clearing out the basket of old UFOs and now I am two projects closer to finishing. Right now it is hard to find time to quilt, so it is nice to finish a couple of things and feel somewhat productive.
The newer (haha!) project is another from the weird Blitzen fabric line by Basic Grey. This fabric came out in 2012 so it has celebrated a few birthdays. I hope I don’t come across any more UFOs with this fabric. I probably had a fat quarter bundle and should have separated the fabrics into a whimsical group and a traditional group. That may have made the quilts look a little more cohesive. Nothing could make me like that goofy snowman print though!! I don’t know what pattern this is or if I even used a pattern.
The quilting is a pantograph by Apricot Moon called Breath of the Gods.
This old, old quilt is one I made from random fat quarters using the 7″ Crazy Curves quilt template. This ruler makes curves so quick and easy. I’ve probably used it a dozen times, but never get tired of making these.
The quilting on this one is Hurricane by Kristin Hoftyzer.
There are just two weeks left in June (gasp!) and I am really trying to get my solid challenge quilt finished. I am feeling a little pressured because I’m not even halfway finished with it. Hopefully, I can find a few chunks of time to dedicate to it.
Do you get very much quilting time in the summer? It takes a lot of discipline to stay inside and sew when the weather is so nice!
