In just the second month of this year’s Rainbow Scrap Challenge, I hit a bit of a roadblock. The February color is teal, aquamarine or anything between blue and green. In January I designated teal as the constant color in my carpenter’s star blocks. Instead of making the whole block teal, I thought it was important to have some contrast so used lighter aqua fabrics. I’m making two blocks this month and have one pieced, but the other is still in parts.
In addition to the Carpenter’s Star blocks, I’m making blocks for two other Rainbow Scrap Challenge quilts. This month has slipped away from me and none of those are pieced. Hopefully March brings lots of sewing time so I can catch up.

You block is stunning! I love how the dark blue made the center design pop! Thank you so much for sharing!

It’s a complicated block – many pieces, that is. This is a beautiful one, so I’d be happy with one. =)
