The Reflection Quilt

My big news!

Hello friends. Today is the day I have been waiting for. The pattern for The Reflection Quilt is finally here! Right now it is only available as a digital download through my Etsy shop here. You know me, though, always looking for the easiest way to piece a quilt. It took me three tries on this one, but I think I finally figured it out! It really is easy to piece and it looks great whether you make it scrappy with fat quarters or just two fabrics like I did with this ombre version. The pattern is written for three sizes; baby 40″ x 60″, throw 60″ x 80″, and bed 80″ x 100″.

I am really excited to see what YOU make with this pattern. Be sure to send pictures or post on Instagram: #thereflectionquilt.

It’s always something!

You know that old expression, “When you make plans, God laughs.” Well, he is getting a chuckle today at my expense. This morning we were just about ready to leave on a 10-day trip to see my mom. I ran downstairs to grab something and noticed water on the basement floor. It took about a minute to figure out our water heater was leaking! We knew it was on borrowed time, but today of all days?

I am so happy we saw it BEFORE we left. It was just a little trickle today but would have been a disaster to come back to 50 gallons of water on the floor. Luckily a plumber will be here later this afternoon to replace it and we will be back in business. Of course, my longarm is right in front of the water heater so I had to move some boxes (and listen to my husband ask what everything is, what it’s for, and do I use it).

Be sure to come back next week when I will post more about other variations of The Reflection Quilt. I think you are going to love making it!
