I love making lists and when I read Michael Wurm’s post today from Inspired by Charm I had to play along. It was fun to think about these things. Try it for yourself and read other people’s lists using the links shared in the comments section at the Inspired by Charm post.
Here’s my list.
making : lots of flying geese units for a quilting project.
cooking : blueberry muffins.
drinking : coffee, coffee and more coffee.
reading : American Rust by Philipp Meyer.
wanting : to finish quilting the 6 tops I have for Quilts Beyond Borders.
looking : for someplace to go for a fall getaway.
wishing : I had more hours in a day.
playing : too much Candy Crush.
wasting : tomatoes if I don’t start making some soup or spaghetti sauce with them.
enjoying : the cool weather and crisp air.
waiting : for fabric to arrive to make a new quilt.
liking : my morning walks.
wondering : why people watch reality tv shows where people treat other people badly.
loving : my wonderful husband for putting up with me for so many years.
hoping : to get the bedrooms redecorated before guests arrive at Thanksgiving.
listening: Keith Urban-Fuse—his new album!.
marveling : at pictures from our trip to France earlier this summer.
needing : to de-clutter the basement.
sowing : some tulip bulbs for a beautiful spring.
smelling : pumpkin spice candles.
wearing : jeans and a long-sleeved tee.
following : Bonnie Hunter at Quiltville. I love how she uses scrap fabric to make beautiful quilts (also the first blogger I followed).
noticing : the leaves are starting to turn colors.
knowing : my kids are the greatest 🙂
thinking : I’d sure like to go to Italy.
bookmarking : all kinds of apple recipes, specifically this one. I’ve heard there’s a bumper crop this year.
opening : catalog after catalog—it’s the shopping season!
giggling : at the ridiculous “cleaning” tips here. Do you really want tube socks on your chair legs or to clean your candles with pantyhose (who even has pantyhose any more?).
watching : football, finally.
feeling : excited to go to Kansas City next week to see family and friends.

What a thought provoking idea! I loved making my list! It’s a great reminder of the great things in my life as well as a great reminder of the things I want to do or get done … time’s a’wastin’!
