One More August Finish: Ombre Geese

When I looked through my spreadsheet at the end of August to see what projects I finished, I realized I never posted a picture of the Ombre Geese quilt after it was finished.

These blocks were cut from a fat quarter pack of Moda’s V & Co. Ombre line.  After piecing a few blocks, I liked them so much I decided to make the quilt bigger.  After piecing the new blocks, I started arranging all of them and realized I used a different background color on the second set.  I was disheartened by this mistake, but decided to finish it anyway.  Now that it’s quilted and bound, the different backgrounds don’t really bother me at all!

Ombre Geese

I just found out that Moda is making the Ombre line a basic so it will be reprinted and stocked indefinitely.  If I had only waited, I could have purchased more fabric and made new blocks to match.  Oh well, better finished than perfect.
