Recently, I’ve seen several new rulers and tools that make unique quilts. One of them is the Quick Curve Ruler. I love curved piecing and over the years I’ve made many quilts using the Crazy Curves templates from Elisa’s Back Porch so I was ready for a little variety. Even if you aren’t familiar with the Quick Curve Ruler, you’ve probably seen some of Jenny Pedigo’s quilts that are made from this ruler. She is an amazing machine quilter and these quilts are just gorgeous. Just check out Jenny’s blog here to see some of her beautiful work.
For my first project using this ruler, I selected what appeared to be the simplest design, Metro Waves. Since this is an experimental project, I just used some older fabrics. So far, I’ve been pleased with both the cutting and pieced with this technique. I only have a couple of rows complete so far, but think I’ll be happy with the results.

I really love the look of that ruler and it’s potential design options. I am getting over my hesitation of sewing curves by practicing!!
