Another Month, Another Goal: Ocean Waves Quilt

Yesterday I finally had the chance to look through my UFO bins and found this Ocean Waves top. It is a great candidate for the OMG challenge this month because I can quilt straight lines on my Juki. It’s not a huge quilt so that’s a bonus! I just hope I can find some more of the background fabric for the border. Note to self: pin the binding fabric to the quilt top before storing!

This top is only a couple of years old so a relatively new arrival to the UFO bin. Ocean Waves is such a classic design and one that had been on my bucket list for awhile. It will be nice to get it finished. I cut all the half square triangles from the scrap basket that sits on my cutting table. The basket is overflowing again so it might be time to make another Ocean Waves! It is a great leader/ender project.

Be sure to visit Elm Street Quilts to see all the One Monthly Goal projects.

If you don’t find your binding, let me know. I might have that one. Beautiful quilt.
