DWM: Tumblers

Ya gotta love a job where you can sew at work!  I work very part time at Keep Me In Stitches Quilt Shop.  New fabrics from Ty Pennington and Tula Pink came into the shop and I thought they would be perfect for a tumbler quilt.  I’ve been wanting to make one of these for awhile so this was a good opportunity to try the ruler and technique.  I used Marti Michell’s One-derful One-Patch Tumbler template which I’ve had for years a little while and hadn’t taken out of the package.  It worked great.  Once I figured out the cutting, it went quickly and then the sewing was a piece of cake!  The ruler is available at many quilt shops or here.  I can’t wait to use it again with scraps.

I just need to add a few more rows to finish the top.  Then it’s on to my own sewing this week!

You are right in the trend. I’m seeing more and more people try this old fashioned pattern, and it looks great in the fabrics you chose.
