DWM: Another Nine Patch

Last week I sorted through another bin of UFO’s and found this blue and yellow nine patch.  I always love blue and yellow quilts (and nine patches!) so I worked a bit sewing the rows together.  All the blocks are made so it shouldn’t take too long to turn it into a quilt.

BY Nine

I like that the design continues into the border without any extra work.  The border is also one of those great navy fabrics that are so hard to find anymore.  My goal this week is to finish this one.

Check out other works in progress following the links at Patchwork Times.

Congratulations on being the first to post on DWM this week. Isn’t it great when you come across a group of blocks and presto!, the ideal way to set them pops into your head?! Before you know it, you have a flimsy.

I love nine patches, too.. and blue and yellow! And it’s a bonus to find something that is so close to being a completed top! Yours will be so pretty.

Very pretty! (You talk about sorting through your UFOs in bins. I have visions of a huge warehouse full of bins full of UFOs! What fun!)

Your bin must be overflowing…..it’s amazing what we find in those bins. The quilt looks great…..I still have a blue and yellow one from the first interntional quilt club. I need to get it out and get it quilted.

    Thanks for sharing. Mary Pat

Actually, that’s pretty nifty designing with color. I like it! I’m glad you’re going to finish it.
