Praising God through song is probably what most people think of when they hear the word “praise.” The praise and worship part of church services has always been my favorite. From traditional hymns to contemporary praise, these songs are what I typically find myself singing throughout the week.
I am so grateful for my morning routine which includes reading, a short workout, and some quiet time in the Word. If Jim isn’t up by the time I finish all this, I will do some piecing or handwork and listen to music. Almost always in the morning, I listen to a praise and worship channel on Pandora. It is such a nice way to start the day.
This song, Spirit Lead Me by Michael Ketterer is a favorite right now. It really makes me think about my priorities and whether or not I’m moving in the direction God is leading. I hope you take a listen!
WOMEN OF THE BIBLE: BLOCKS 21 and 22
Here are the next blocks in the Women of the Bible Series (pattern available here).
The women represented in these blocks are Hannah and Delilah. Hannah was the mother of the prophet Samuel. Delilah is, of course, the woman who betrayed Samson when he revealed to her that the source of his strength was his hair. Hannah’s story is told in 1 Samuel and Delilah’s is told in Judges.
