Good thing I didn’t set a goal for October because I wouldn’t have reached it, AGAIN. September’s OMG still isn’t finished! The past two months have just been terrible for quilting productivity. Today is November 1, a brand new month, and I’m feeling optimistic. I really want to finish this year’s #100days100blocks challenge quilt, Tula Pink’s City Sampler. I finished all the blocks and posted them every day to Instagram but have had a hard time getting back to it since the challenge ended. Right now I have the rows sewn together and am working on the horizontal sashing.
This is a big quilt and only 7 of the 10 rows are shown in this picture. There just isn’t anyplace in my house to lay out large quilts. For about one second I thought about custom quilting it, but that is too daunting a task for me. Instead, I’ll do an easy edge-to-edge. There is a lot going on in this quilt so I think that will look just fine (and I’ll have some possibility of finishing it!).
Be sure to check in at Elm Street Quilts to see everyone else’s November goals.

Edge to edge is the perfect choice for this, you are right. I look forward to seeing it finished, even if you have to show it in quarter sections. LOL
