You know that Jim and I must have had an early morning if we traveled from Appleton to Salt Lake City and arrived by 9:37 AM. Indeed, we did; leaving home at 2:30 in order to catch a 5:50 flight from Milwaukee.
This is our first visit to Salt Lake City and we were excited to see mountains in the background as we landed.
The airport is only five miles or so from downtown so I was at the convention center not long after market opened.
It is always fun to see what is trending at market and after walking just a few aisles, two themes jumped out at me—vintage campers and vintage trucks. This was a cute camper quilt from Australian designer, Claire Turpin’s booth.
This old truck quilt is one of Laura Heine’s collage quilts.
These themes were shown across quilting styles—modern, traditional and primitive designers all had a take.
As far as fabric, there seemed to be a lot of blue (YAAAY!!). This is Janet Clare’s new line called Flight from Moda.
Also from Moda is new designer, Debbie Maddy’s Shibori line.
There were beautiful blues from Art Gallery too. I’ll take one of each of these, please!
There also seemed to be a lot of woodland prints like My Deer from Camelot. It’s such a soft, sweet line.
My favorite fabric line so far, has been this one from Alisse Courter for Camelot called Happy Thoughts. I love the red, coral, aqua and navy colors in it.
There is so much inspiration here. Many other people have posted tons of pictures from market on social media. Just looking through my Instagram feed makes me want to get home and start sewing!

If you buy too much you’ll never get to leave your house. Hope you have a wonderful time

Thanks for sharing! I’ve been seeing more and more of the campers and trucks, but didn’t realize it was so wide-spread and world-wide! I love the Laura Heine quilt! Seeing all those blues makes me happy, too, and I’d ALSO like one of each. LOL Such lovely lines all around. I know it’s hard to choose just which products must go home with you.
